Monaca, PA - Penn State Beaver pulled away for an 87–43 win over Penn State Shenango on Feb. 17 at the Beaver Field House, turning a competitive opening quarter into a runaway by the second half. Shenango set an early tone with energy and physicality, edging in front 14–11 after the first 10 minutes, but Beaver's depth and pressure began to show as the game settled in. By halftime, Beaver had flipped the script with a strong second quarter to take a 33–28 lead into the break. The third quarter decided it. Beaver came out of halftime with a surge on both ends, exploding for 29 points while holding Shenango to just 5, stretching the margin from five to nearly 30 in a single period. That run was fueled by Beaver's ability to generate extra possessions and convert them—finishing with a commanding rebounding advantage (55–30) and piling up 25 offensive boards. Beaver also forced Shenango into a difficult night taking care of the ball, as Shenango committed 37 turnovers that Beaver turned into transition chances and quick scores.
Jaden Tesch led the way with 16 points, while Bailey Rieg added 14 and Katie Enderle chipped in 12; Cashimere Ralph anchored the glass with 15 rebounds. In the end, Beaver's combination of pace, pressure, and second-chance opportunities turned a tight early contest into a decisive conference win, reinforcing its strong record and momentum heading deeper into the schedule.
The win further strengthened Beaver's already impressive season résumé and conference standingthis game showed how quickly Beaver can turn a competitive game into a runaway when their defense and rebounding are clicking.
