Penn State Beaver entered Monday night at the Beaver Fieldhouse in strong form and played like it, turning the Feb. 9 matchup into a wire-to-wire statement. The hosts set the tone immediately with pace, pressure, and crisp ball movement, building early separation and never allowing the game to settle into a half-court grind. By the end of the night, Beaver had delivered a complete performance that reflected a team playing with confidence and cohesion.
Beaver came out fast and physical, jumping on Fayette from the opening tip and putting the game out of reach early with a dominant opening period. Beaver kept their foot on the gas, continuing to win the possession battle and stretching the margin further with balanced scoring and steady defensive activity. In the third period Beaver maintained control with disciplined execution—limiting empty trips, sharing the ball, and keeping Fayette from finding any sustained rhythm. With the outcome long decided, Beaver still played with purpose, closing the game the same way it started and finishing the night with a 96–27 win to improve to 19–4 overall and 12–2 in conference.
Beaver's numbers underscored the difference in the game: the Lions shot 48.1% from the field, hit 9 threes, and piled up 24 assists while forcing 35 turnovers and generating 22 steals. Bailey Rieg led the way with 31 points on an efficient night that included 4 threes, and Claudia Siegfried added 11 points off the bench as Beaver's depth stayed productive. The result was a decisive home win that showcased Beaver's defensive pressure and unselfish offense—two traits that will travel well as the season moves forward.
