Bio
Bryce Egger brings strong local roots and a well-rounded background as a player, coach, and educator to Penn State Beaver Athletics.
A native of the Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania area, Egger is a 2014 graduate of Blackhawk High School, where he competed in golf for three seasons. During his high school career, he earned Individual WPIAL Section Champion honors and advanced to the Individual WPIAL Finals as a senior.
Egger continued his academic and athletic career at Washington & Jefferson College, competing on the NCAA men’s golf team for four years. While at W&J, he was named a PAC All-Conference golfer, helped lead three conference championship teams, and served as Team Captain during his senior season.
Following his collegiate playing career, Egger transitioned into coaching and player development. He spent ten years as Program Director of The First Tee of Beaver Falls, focusing on youth development, leadership, and growing the game of golf. He also served as Head Varsity Golf Coach at Beaver Area School District for one season and has led the Blackhawk School District varsity golf program for the past three years.
Egger holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Washington & Jefferson College and a Master’s degree in School Administration from California University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he is a 6th grade Science and Social Studies teacher in the Blackhawk School District.
He resides in New Castle, Pennsylvania with his wife, Sarah, and their dog, Bunker.
